Minnesota should lead the nation in providing universal voter registration. Every adult citizen in Minnesota should be registered to vote. State election day should be a legal holiday. And we should keep the laws we have now that allow for same-day registration, vouching for neighbors, and excuse-free absentee voting, as well as avoiding "voter ID" policies.
Electronic Voter Roster (aka, Electronic Poll Books) would be a great improvement in our election system. What now takes days or weeks with much expense for our County Auditors or Elections Depts. to hand enter the data from paper forms could be done in mere hours with an electronic system.
