I am chronic pain sufferer-this is an option medically that my doctor and I agree will help. But because of the laws in this state,he cant allow me to use marijuana,but he believes it would help me a great deal. I read what the police have said about not legalizing marijuana in their Coalition Concerns of 2009, but a lot of these concerns could be abated if marijuana was treated like alcohol, tobacco and prescription drugs. All three of those things are less safe than marijuana. Let's use the revenue from Marijuana to help make this state better instead of putting non-violent marijuana users in jail!
Even if only to allow doctors to prescribe/recommend medical cannabis to patients who benefit from it's uses. Personally, I think cannabis should be legal, taxed and regulated for consumption by all adults over 21, for many reasons. As a Bi polar Mom with Bi polar kids the USDA approved medicines have been horrific in our house. The nasty side effects and the allergic reactions are horrible. I feel like a crap mom for giving them meds. Especially when I see other states that have seen great results from Medical Cannabis and Mental health disorders.
